We are seeking a skilled GUI Designer/Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop & support software designs focused on the user experience & user/customer friendliness
  • Communicate professionally with internal & external customers on a regular basis
  • Manage design from start to finish working with engineering team
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 standards and the internal Quality Management System
  • Identify and implement standards for easily maintainable code and update manuals
  • Test and validate new and existing code
  • Develop requirements and project timelines
  • Lead projects and participate in design reviews
  • Prepare, maintain, and provide thorough documentation of software development & revision in support of the company’s development process & document control procedure
  • Direct the work of external programmers & software consultants as applicable
  • Mentor engineering interns
  • May also work on or lead other projects, and help with other duties

Education and Experience:

  • BSEE/CS or MSEE/CS or equivalent engineering discipline degree required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in GUI design and software development

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge: coding/programming using C#, C, or C++, etc. and ability to identify the right tools for human experience design
  • Effective technical documentation ability and skills, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Advanced communication skills - ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Comfortable in a collaborative, professional growth-oriented, small team environment
  • Strong initiative and accountability, requiring minimal direction and supervision
  • Time-management ability and a willingness to travel on occasion or work extra if needed to accomplish project goals
  • Commitment to quality - a consistent and proactive commitment to the principles and practices that result in quality products and services, satisfied customers, and continual improvement
